Gonorrhoea also leads to tubal pregnancy, infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease and chronic pain in pelvis in females. Women suffering from gonorrhoea also develop Bartholin’s duct cysts, with or without any symptoms which causes immense pain in case of large cysts.

If gonorrhoea is not treated timely, it can affect the cervix and can invade the fallopian tubes and uterus. Since this ailment does not show symptoms, one should look for problems like discharge from vagina, vaginal bleeding and burning sensation while urinating etc and get ailment diagnosed by doctor.

One of the best ways to treat gonorrhoea is by practicing monogamy and safe sex. Use of condoms can easily prevent STIs like gonorrhea as well.
